The patient is in her early 30's who had previously undergone a bilateral breast augmentation by another surgeon. The patient was noted to have a medial malposition on the right breast with a flattening of the right lateral breast and inferior malposition on both sides with the left being significantly worse than the right. I felt the above-mentioned combination of procedures would give the patient the best overall results. We discussed possibly exchanging her implants. However, I explained that if the current sizes appeared to be symmetrical after correction of the pockets I would recommend leaving the original implants in place as they are only three years old.

I felt that reusing the patient's original implants would be the best option.
