- Breast Reduction
This patient is a 47 year old female who presented to my practice due to problems with her large breasts. This patient reported significant neck, back, and shoulder pain, bra-strap grooving, and difficulty with exercise or finding clothes that fit properly.
I felt that this patient would be an excellent candidate for breast reduction surgery. In surgery, I performed a wise pattern (anchor scar) breast reduction leaving the nipple/areolas attached to the underlying breast tissue. Due to preoperative asymmetry, I removed 697 grams from the right breast and 544 grams from the left breast to get the best match.
After surgery, the patient was thrilled with her new appearance and was also amazed at how good she felt physically. Her symptoms were resolved and she was extremely happy with the symmetry and proper proportion of her breasts.
