- Breast Reduction
This patient is a 23 year old female who flew in from out of state to my practice with interest in breast reduction surgery. This patient had all of the classic symptoms of oversized breasts including neck pain, back pain, bra strap grooving, shoulder discomfort, and difficulty with physical activity.
I recommended a breast reduction for this patient which I felt would relieve the majority of her symptoms as well as improve her proportions and overall appearance.
In surgery I performed a vertical (lollipop scar) breast reduction with a full lift. The nipples/areolas were left attached to the underlying breast tissue. I removed approximately 415 grams from the right and 585 grams from the left due to a preoperative asymmetry.
After surgery the patient healed well and was extremely pleased with the improvement of her physical symptoms and her appearance. She is able to fit much better in her clothes, and reports that she is able to exercise much more effectively.
