- Breast Lift
This patient is a 72-year-old female who had previously undergone breast augmentation in the 1980s. She subsequently had ptosis and unnatural appearing breasts and as a result a deflation was performed with the plan of reconstructing the breasts with implants and a breast lift.
In surgery, her old implant shells were removed and the implant position was changed from over to under her chest muscles. Allergan smooth round silicone gel implants were placed. On the left side, the implant was a 220 cc smooth round low plus profile and on the right side, the implant was a 275 cc smooth round moderate profile due to a preoperative asymmetry.Strattice was placed on each side as an internal "bra" to stabilize the implants and the muscles. After this a mastopexy was performed on both sides.
After surgery, the patient recovered well and was very happy with her perkier, more natural and aesthetic appearance.
