- Breast Augmentation
This patient is a female in her mid 30's who presented to my practice with interest in breast augmentation. She had never developed any significant breast tissue and was very self-conscious about her underdeveloped chest.
I felt this patient would be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation surgery. I recommended silicone implants placed through the areolas and under the muscles for the most natural result. I was concerned about the patient's somewhat prominent sternum (chest bone) and thin tissues, but I felt I would be able to make a tremendous improvement in her appearance.
During surgery, I tried multiple sizers and felt that the 400cc Mentor smooth, round, high profile cohesive silicone gel implants gave the patient the best overall shape and size. Further internal release of the lower breast tissue was also necessary to round out the breast shape.
This patient did very well after surgery and is extremely happy with her new, natural breast appearance.
