- Mommy Makeover
This patient is a 38 year old female who came to my practice with concerns about her breasts and body. This patient had noted changes in her body after childbirth, and wished to have fuller, perkier breasts and a more contoured abdomen.
I felt this patient would be a good candidate for a "Mommy Makeover", which in her case would consist of breast augmentation with a circumareolar mastopexy (around the areola tightening), tummy tuck surgery, and liposuction of the love handle areas. I recommended silicone implants placed under the muscle for the most natural appearance.
During surgery, I placed Mentor smooth, round, moderate plus profile cohesive gel implants and tightened the breast skin and elevated the areolar positions with a circumareolar mastopexy (please note that the nipple/areola stays completely connected during this surgery). I also performed a full tummy-tuck with tightening of the abdominal muscles, and liposuction of the love handles (flanks).
The patient did very well after surgery, and was extremely happy with her larger, perkier breasts and flat abdomen. She was particularly pleased with how well she fit into clothes after surgery.
